Video Production - Add A Touch Of Professionalism To Your Videos

When speaking into the camera, it's important to speak fluently, avoiding "Ers" and "Ums". That's more difficult than you might think, so here's a couple of zero cost ways round this annoying problem [read on]

When speaking to the camera, it's important to speak fluently, avoiding "Ers" and "Ums".  That's more difficult than it sounds and, if you've already tried you hand at making a video, you'll know what I mean.

The secret of success is to copy the professionals and use a teleprompter. So here are two free teleprompters with which you can produce professional results – and it won't cost you a cent.

Check out the URL below and you will be able to download some free teleprompter software. This can run on your computer, whilst you are filming.

Movie Clip Prompt

Here's a picture of my computer running this software. You'll see it's positioned just in front of the camera. This allows me to read from the teleprompter and yet appear to be looking straight into the camera.

This gives a far more professional effect than if you were to read off notes, where your eyes would be constantly darting down to the paper.

That is a free version of the software and, as such, is naturally somewhat limited. However, once you've tried it and found it useful, you can buy the full package for $44.

If you have Microsoft Powerpoint, an alternative method is to type your script on a series of slides. Provided you have a mouse with a long lead, you can change the slides as you progress through the script with just a click, which will not be apparent to the audience.

Your new sales letter
is converting at 12.5%
Paul... Your sales copy is
fan-freaking-tastic!
We've just run a small pre-launch
test  using your new sales letter
and
it's converting at 12.5%...

Previously we've passed around
the cigars and cracked open the
Champagne with results less
than half that...

I liked it. I think you will too
Just looked this over very quickly.
It looks terrific. He brings some
very nice web 2.0 resources to
the table and integrates article
marketing with blogging,
video and web 2.0.

I liked it. I think you will too.

Instructional videos are
down to earth
Your instructional videos are
down to earth and explain
in layman's terms, step
by step, how to teach a
dork like me with no experience
whatsoever how to do this.

You know, Paul...I've been
thinking for some time that
the internet was the way

Turn all the complicated jargon
into easy-to-follow basic English
You strive to turn all the
technical wizardry and
complicated jargon into
easy-to-follow and understand
basic 'computer-speak English'.
